I feel like a student again.

Let me re-phrase that.

I AM a student again.

But it's not just the whole going to class thing that is making me feel like a student. It's more... it's the overwhelming sense of relief once classes are over for the week, the constant hunger in my stomach during class, the annoyance of dragging heavy books around with me, the necessity of scheduling my life around homework assignments, the cravings for fast food, the sense of guilt every time I do anything besides reading for class, my re-connection with a laptop (a super-sweet new one, but a faithful and familiar Dell, none the less), the way my brain is constantly working, including at 10:00 on a "school night" when I should be getting some sleep.

It's crazy how my world has been rocked in the course of just a couple days. I'm already getting less sleep, less excersize, and less time with Jon and friends. I'm only in class for 6 hours a week - but that's a lot of time I was used to having free. I know I'll get used to it soon enough, but in the meantime, I'm trying to figure out how to still drag my butt to the gym at least 3 days a week. I've managed once this week so far, but that isn't going to cut it - especially if my after class dinners are KFC at 10 pm.

I spent the last year losing the 15lbs I gained throughout my undergrad degree, and it's going to take a lot of DISCIPLINE in order to keep that weight off during my grad degree. I wonder if there is something in my brain that connects learning to fast food....

PS - I'm all better and the flu is gone :) Thank you Jesus.
