I had my first class yesterday.
It went OKAY, given the condition of my stomach. I drank lots of water, took some pepto-bismol, and ate a piece of bread an hour before class and I fared just fine.
I have another class tonight, and then I'm 1 week down, 9 weeks to go! Is it wrong that I'm already counting down until the end of the quarter? Probably... but I'm not doing my masters for the pure fun and joy of education. I'm doing it to help open up more career opportunities, which seems shallow perhaps, but I want to work in higher education and you can't get very far in my field without a masters.
I finally had my ENT appointment today, and basically, I have a deviated septum - but it's not bad enough to need surgery and it's not the root cause of my sinus issues. The ENT thinks that my allergies are the bigger problem, so now I have to have allergy testing done. From what I've heard, it's super unpleasant. I'm just hoping it will provide a few answers. In the meantime, I'm taking drugs to help the swelling go down in my sinus cavities, which should hopefully prevent the nosebleeds. I just want to get better. I'm tired of feeling like a crappy employee, being sick at least once a month. BLARGH.
I'll give a more detailed school update tonight (more realistically tomorrow) once my first week of class is officially over. I can't believe I'm in school again... honestly, what am I thinking?
