So busted.
First of all, our housewarming party went really well. We ended up with about 30 people throughout the evening, and much merriment was had by all. It's hard to believe we've lived at our house for over three months. AND as of this upcoming Saturday, we will have both CABLE and BLINDS in our house! Honestly, I don't care at all about the cable. I just want to see Jon on Sundays and that means him having access to the Seahawks games at our house. But I'm SUPER pumped about having BLINDS! PRIVACY! No more crawling naked down the hallway in order to get to the laundry room without being spotted by a neighbor! Woo hoo!
And now, for the moment you've all (coughCiaracoughcoughcough) been waiting for... an update on my "NEW" job.
As of Monday, September 14th I started a new position at Seattle U. For the previous year and some odd months, I was working as the Enrollment Services Representative - basically as a go-between for the Financial Aid and Registrar's Office. I did everything from process registration forms to take in tuition payments and it was a very uncomfortable and tension filled position. I had two supervisors, two sets of co-workers, two very differents jobs, and two very different office environments.
THEN the two offices decided to seperate, and I was moved over to the Registrar's Office - thus divorcing myself from Financial Aid and all that was involved with that position. Basically, this is a 100% good thing for my work ethic, my sanity, my personal life, and whatever else was affected by the frustration and dissatisfaction I experienced in my previous position. Unfortunatly, my new job doesn't come with a pay raise, or really any more responsibility or importance, but I am surrounded by an incredible staff of caring and competent workers who love their job and want to do the best work possible. I couldn't ask for a better office to work for.
In other news - I start classes again one week from today. Blerg.

Congratulations. I hope that your new position will be a lot more restful.
Now I just have one question: why do you do your laundry naked?
Your office does rock. Such good people! Too bad you didn't get a pay raise. Though honestly, the way your life will improve it will feel like it!
