After a painfully boring summer, things are finally starting to pick up at work.
I'm pretty much done with summer. It's not that I don't love the sun, I really do. What I hate is the pace of life during the summer. I like it when it's cooler and people move faster, have work to do, have a purpose in life. I like having holidays, birthdays, and anniversaries to look forward to. I like being busy during the year, but I hate the busyness of summer - picnics, bbq's, weddings, graduations, helping friends move (and moving), vacations, hikes, constant plans and activities... and yet NOTHING gets done.
I want an all out summer off, or no summer at all - because this whole working while it's summer thing hurts my brain. At least if I wasn't working I could be productive and still have fun, but instead it's just work and fun and no productivity and I can't stand it!
September through December is hands down my favorite time of year. And to kick off this September, Jon and I will be spending a week relaxing at the beach in Lincoln City, one of my FAVORITE places in the world! I'm hoping it will be nice and stormy - perfect for a fire, glass of wine, and a lot of good books :)
