My cats are trouble.

A few weeks ago, they dug out the batting from the bottom of the sofa, and have since set up camp INSIDE my couch.

Jon and I have tried everything to block them from climbing back in there - but alas, they have figure out how to move/eat/destroy/etc. everything we have tried using to keep them from climbing back inside the couch.

As I type, I can hear them scratching from the inside of the sofa. Blargh.

I hear discipline works.

Are you kidding me? Is this your new red sofa? I would be so pissed!

(don't listen to matt- discipline doesn't work, de-clawing works. Our sofa is scratched to bits too)

Don't de-claw. They have these little hard plastic caps that can be put over the claws now.

De-clawing is way too expensive! Our vet only does laser surgery since it's supposed to be less painful, but it would cost about $1,000 for both the cats. Also, I think it's fairly inhumane, although every cat I had growing up was de-clawed. But I don't mind the claws, it's more the CHEWING on everything that drives me nuts!
