What are your middle names?
Mine is Ann, Jon's is David. Clearly we have very original parents.
How long have you been together?
We've been married a year and two months. We've been together for four years.
How long did you know each other before you started dating?
Well... we knew each other for 1 day before he asked me on a date, two weeks before our first kiss, and three months before we became "boyfriend & girlfriend."
Who asked whom out?
Well, Josh asked me out on behalf of Jon (a la roomies). But then Jon asked me to be his girlfriend. I almost said no, I thought he just wanted action. Good thing I had a change of heart...
How old are each of you?
I'm 22, he's 24. But we were only a year apart in school.
Whose siblings do you see the most?
Jon's. We live in the state he grew up in, so his family is close by. Mine is only 3.5 hours away, but I miss them like crazy and wish we lived closer.
Which situation is the hardest on you as a couple?
Probably my unyielding desire to move back to Portland. It makes things like settling down (buying a house, thinking about kids, etc) quite difficult since I refuse to believe we will do those things here.
Did you go to the same school?
High school, no. College, yes.
Are you from the same home town?
No. Jon grew up in Puyallup, WA. Which took me a while to figure out how to pronounce. I'm from Portland, OR.
Who is smarter?
Jon = Electrical Engineer. Me = Communication Major. Honestly, does this answer need further explanation? I think not.
Who is the most sensitive?
Good questions. I don't really know...
Where do you eat out most as a couple?
LOMBARDIS! Oh yum. Their garlic cheese bread is the shit.
Where is the furthest you two have traveled together as a couple?
Australia. Well, he traveled there to visit me, so technically we didn't travel together - we were there together. We've only flown together once, and it was to Arizona.
Who has the craziest exes?
Jon. No further comments.
Who has the worst temper?
Neither one of us have big tempers, we aren't fighters at all. I might snap at him every once in a while, and he might pout about something, but neither one of us has anything resembling a temper.
Who does the cooking?
Me. Although I am proud to say that Jon now knows how to make pasta, rice, and pizza from pre-made dough.
Who is the neat-freak?
Jon is the neat-freak, I'm the germaphobe. We compliment each other nicely.
Who is more stubborn?
Neither. We're not competitive. We're knowledgeable about different subjects. We're pretty easy going.
Who hogs the bed?
I hog SPACE on the bed, Jon hogs all the BEDDING! I maintain that the only reason I find myself moving into his space during the night is because that's where all the blankets are and I'm just trying to stay warm!
Who wakes up earlier?
Jon. The earlier he gets to work, the earlier he gets home. I think he's insane getting up so early, but I'm pretty sure if I didn't nag him, he'd try going in to work at freaking 5 AM!
Where was your first date?
King Skate in Bellevue. Did I mention it was an 80's themed roomies? Photographic proof... yes, we were hot.
Who is more jealous?
I don't think we give each other things to be jealous of.
How long did it take to get serious?
Three months?
Who eats more?
Jon. He does weigh a good 70 lbs more than me...
Who does the laundry?
If I say we both do, Jon would disown me. HE does MOST of the laundry. Isn't that adorable? And he even knows what not to dry. Now I'm just trying to convince him that towels need to be washed and dried on their own so my clothes don't have towel fuzzies all over them!
Who's better with the computer?
Did I mention Jon is an engineer?
Who drives when you are together?
Jon. He might tell you it's because he gets car sick, but really it's because I scare the crap out of him when I drive. I then remind him that I've never been in an accident, nor gotten a ticket, but somehow that isn't reassuring enough...
